Ahuva Morris serves as the first female divorce mediator at the Beth Din of America. In this role, she combines her legal training, halachic knowledge, and compassionate approach to support families navigating the divorce process. In her other role as community liaison she works closely with rabbanim, lawyers and mental health professionals to advance understanding of the Beth Din’s unique approach—serving with halachic and legal integrity, professionalism, and the utmost respect and dignity for all parties-to facilitate expedient resolutions in each party’s best interest.
Ahuva received her Juris Doctor from Cardozo Law School and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stern College for Women. She began her career in general litigation at Herzfeld and Rubin, P.C. After a break to raise her children, she pivoted her efforts to community work. She began teaching kallahs and mentoring women. Drawing on her training through Rochel Goldbaum’s Kallah Teacher Certification, Tahareinu, the Eden Center’s Trauma-Informed Teaching, and Shalom Task Force, she helps women and couples navigate the intersection of halacha, emotional well-being, reproductive health, shalom bayis, and intimacy with sensitivity and clarity.
